Mussels Marinara

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound Mussels (Approximately 2 dozen medium sized mussels)
  2. Tablespoon of Minced Garlic,
  3. Pinch Black Pepper)
  4. Pinch Oregano
  5. 1 Cup Tomato Sauce (Marinara)
  6. 4 Tablespoons Water
  7. Pinch of salt if sauce doesn't already have it.

Preparation

Tab Scrub mussels well, discarding any that are open and will not close when sharply tapped. In a medium sized pan, saute the garlic and mussels until the garlic is golden brown.

Add black pepper, oregano, tomato sauce, and water.

Cover and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes until the mussels are tender. Add to pasta.

Serves four.
