"Good conditions. Sometimes wet due to tidal effects, but always playable. Good management. It's run by American Golf. It's pretty short for the above average player, but still gives a pretty good challenge. All par 5's are reachable in two, which helps to give you a chance to get a few strokes back. Greens are smooth and have good pace. I like the fact the a ranger is on the course at all times. I've never had a round over 4 1/2 hours here. My only dislike was all of the Canadian Goose droppings that were impossible to miss during winter play. I guess nothing can be done about that. A good course, not great. It's one of the old ones and doesn't have the design that the newer shore courses have, but it's worth a look. An easy round in the 70's for the good player. For the longer hitters, keep the driver in the trunk, you won't need it. 3 woods and 5 woods off the tee give you all the distance you need, even on the par 5's. Trust me, 18th hole, a par 5, carded at 450. 3 wood, SW, an easy attempt at an Eagle. Even the first hole proves no real challenge. Two 5 woods and you're putting for Eagle. Toughest hole on the course, probably the 9th. A lake right and OB left puts a premium on a straight drive. It can play very long too. Sometimes the wind will be out of the NW coming right off the bay and make that hole a terror. Check it out, you'll have fun."

"beautiful layout where you need a decently straight shot to survive. On a windy day, this course is treacherous. It can eat you alive. All in all, it is well worth the money to play there."

Course Played: Cape May National Golf Course. Course Rating: Very Good.
"One of the best layouts anywhere, they continue to be plagued by slow play and not a ranger in sight. Greens were a bit heavy with top dressing. Course best played in the spring, May - Early July, after that the conditions deteriorate."

"A long course with forgiving fairways. The underbrush is usually kept cut so an errant tee shot can generally be found. It's not umcommon to find me playing a hole from the adjoining fairway ( I slice a little ) and this course fits me well. A lot of money has been spent on the course lately and it show. A beautiful course."

Course Played: Blue Heron Pines. Course Rating: Excellent.
"Blue Heron and Harbor Pines where designed by the same person. Blue Heron has the more forgiving fairways and slightly smaller greens. The greens at Harbor Pines are large (6000 sq') and maturing. These two courses are similar in difficulty to my home course, Seaviews' Pines course. I play Mon. thru Thur. mornings with a 7:00 tee time. If you're looking for someone to play with, send me email. I'm a 17 handicap (currently playing like a 20 :-( )"

Course Played: Marriott's Seaview Golf Resort. Course Rating: Excellent.
"I caddied at Seaview CC for many years and would like to comment on the difficulty of the Pines course. If you can't hit a straight ball, you'll be in constant trouble on the Pines course. The fairways are lined by tall Oak trees, uncleared brush, and thick vines. An errant shot will result in either a lost ball or an unplayable lie. If your handicap is ten or above, and you want to enjoy your game, play the Bay course."
